The mid-range handsets are gaining fondness from the tech market. That’s the major reason behind many major players in the market having a successful mid-range product line. Huawei also has very successful and much appreciated mid-range handsets under G-series. They expands this series by introducing G7 Plus and it resembles Huawei G8 in its external appearances and considered as an update to Ascend G7, which was launched last year. G7 Plus has come with almost similar features and in some cases introduced with advanced features when compared to Ascend G7.
Design and Display
The handset measures nearly 152.5*76.5*7.5mm with a weight of 167 grams. The SAR value is recorded as zero. This handset has been introduced with an irremovable battery. The touch enabled display comes to be 5.5 inches edge to edge with a screen resolution of 1080*1920 pixels. The display is protected by 2.5D Gorilla Glass, which would prevent your screen from getting scratches. The handset is covered by metal cases to about 90% and only back panel is made of plastic, which used to encase its connecting antennas.
Processor and Software Features
G7 Plus is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 615 chipset which is configured by octa core CPU with a clocking speed of 1.5GHz. The memory of the handset is measured to be 3GBRAM where the storage is managed by 32GB internal storage. This storage can be expanded with the external memory card to upto 128GB. Users can interact with this latest handset with the help of Android 5.1 Lollipop along with maker’s own user interface named Huawei EMUI 3.1. The handset is also loaded with fingerprint scanner which is placed just below the primary snapper of the gadget.
Camera and Battery
The main snapper is loaded with 13MP lens. The primary snapper is supported by dual tone led flash. This will enhance the quality of the images especially those which are taken in dim lights. The front cam is packed with 5MP lens which will help you to have quality selfies with your loved ones. The powerhouse of the handset is managed by a battery with the capacity of 3000 mAh, which will help you to hold the handset for full day along.
The handset holds dual-SIM capability. Both the SIM slots have the ability to connect to 3G but only one SIM slot is compatible with 4G SIM. The WiFi is supported with a bandwidth of 802.11b/g/n. The Bluetooth is supported by v4.0. Headphones are supported by 3.5mm jack and are also FM enabled. G7 Plus also supports various sensors such as Compass, Proximity Sensor, Accelerometer, Ambient Light Sensor and so on.
Availability and Pricing
G7 Plus is tagged with a price of $330 that too without contracts. This handset is available in three colour variants which are silver, grey and gold. At this moment the gadget is available only in Thailand. It is expected that the company will launch this product all across the globe in the near future. Another important highlight is that G7 Plus will receive an update to Android 6.0 Marshmallow by the end of February next year.
