Live images are not supported by Facebook. Still if you happened to surf through Facebook and see any moving image, don’t think that your eyesight have got some issues. These are the images from Apple Live Photo. This initiative has been taken to satisfy its long ranging users from all across the world. For the time being, this initiative is at its testing stage. Very soon this will be available in all iPhones.
Cupertino and Facebook
During the last September month, it has been told by Cupertino that their moving images will be available on Facebook. But many of us still don’t believe the promise made. But Facebook began its support for Apple Live Images from the last Monday onwards. Thus now Facebook users are also allowed to post Live Images on their profile as well as in the updates made by them in the social networking website.
Pilot Project in iPhone 6S and 6S Plus
For the time being, this live images are available in Apple iPhone 6S and 6S Plus only. The officials promised that this will be available for rest of the iPhone users very soon. The 6S and 6S Plus users are now allowed to post Live Images on Facebook with the help of its iOS Application and any user with iOS 9 is able to use this feature.
How it Works
Whenever you try to capture an image with this feature enabled, the camera in your handset captures a 3 second video covering the events before and after it. Another exciting feature is that this video is recorded with motion as well as sound. This single image will be having a size of 12MP. The movement makes the image an exciting one. This will provide the users an exciting and enchanting feel, where you can witness the preceding and following events of an image.
It’s not a new Feature
This idea behind live pictures is not an innovated one. This idea was already introduced by HTC long back in 2013. This feature was called Zoe. But they couldn’t gain the support from the leading social media networking websites like Facebook or Instagram and others. This Live Photo, got the support from world’s leading social media networking site, Facebook and this is expected to create new trend in image posting on Facebook. The users always welcomed new and exciting features always with an open heart. When it begin to roll out, this will definitely mark a new phase in Facebook’s social media networking history.
