Zotac announces R Series ZBOX integrating RAID Configuration
Mini PCs are gaining demand in the present day world with numerous reasons. It requires low storage space and easy to handle. Zotac is a well-known player in Mini PC market. It has already made its position established in the market by introducing ZBOX mini PCs. Now it has come up with R-Series mini PCs and enhanced its product line. The newly introduced models are named as R1531 and R1323. These two models are no way different from the basic designs of their predecessors that were introduced in the market prior to them.
But what makes them different from their predecessors is the presence of RAID configuration. The two models permit you to connect two 2.5 inches HDDs or SSDs to be organized in RAID 0 or RAID 1 configuration. For those who don’t what is RAID configuration, just read-on. RAID 0 enhances the performance the smallest drive. Coupled with this it also helps in doubling the capacity of those drives. RAID 1 setup is completely related to redundancy. The mini PCs are having the similar features but different in certain areas.
Specifics of R1531
R1531 is packed with a processor from Intel Core of i3-5010u double core with a processing speed of 2.1GHz. It is having a mSATA SSD slot along with two 2.5 inches SATA slots. The mini PC is packed with an HDMI port along with a DisplayPort 1.2. It also has 4 USB ports with 3.0 capacity which promises faster transfer of data. WiFi connectivity is available with 802.11ac bandwidth and Bluetooth version 4.0 is also present. It is packed along with 3-in-1 card reader. According to the information provided in Fudzilla, R1531 costs upto €349 which is approximately $384.
Specifics of R1323
2961Y double core chip from Intel with a processing speed of 1.1GHz powers the R1323. Certain other features are same as the case of R1531. This mini PC is also packed with same HDMI port, DisplayPort 1.2. It also has four USB 3.0 ports. Again WiFi connectivity is possible with the bandwidth of 802.11ac and also has Bluetooth connectivity of 4.0. R1323 costs nearly €199 which is equivalent to $218.
Since both the models are not having RAM or any built-in storage. Another device is being introduced by Zotac having these features. The model is being named R1531 Plus. This model will be costs upto €459 which is approximately equal to $504. This model is packed with a RAM of 4GB coupled with storage of 64GB.
