Home » Gmail’s Pony Express will act as an Online Wallet

Google’s Gmail has come out with many features that attracted its customers world across. Along with mailing service they also started chatting option which enabled users to convey their messages instantly when they were online. Gmail also enabled video chatting which provided for face to face interaction. It also started Google+. It then came out with Google Drive where we can share out documents with others. With all these Google really cared for its customers. Now they have planned something new. The new software will allow its users to pay their bills online.

Pony Express

The new initiative by Google has been code named as Pony Express. Recode Publications hearsays that the new software will allow the Gmail Users to pay bills online from their Gmail Inbox. This software for the time being is under making process and the final design may be different from that of now.

With the launch of new update Google is planning to force its customers to spend more time with Gmail. Google actually wanted its customers to use their Gmail Account as ‘All in One’ account. With the introduction of new feature Gmail will be turned into an online wallet from where you can pay your bills over internet.

Advantages of Pony Express

Main advantage with any kind of online payment is that the customer is not needed to go to payment desks of service providers to pay their bills. Likewise with the help of Pony Express Gmail users will also be able to pay their bills via internet. The greatest advantage is that you need to remember only one user name and password to do all these. Also next major advantage is that Gmail will allow its users to group all the payments to a single folder, otherwise they have to spend more time searching on their bank’s webpage to do so.

Requirements to use Pony Express

Before using Pony Express, users have to provide some personal information such as full social security number, user’s credit card number or a tele service account number. After setting up the account, respective bills can be paid now directly from Gmail with the help of either debit card or credit card or from the bank account. These will be possible only when these things are linked with Pony Express directly.  If you wish this process to be automated periodically you can also preset that too.

If Pony Express becomes real, and when it is favoured by most of Gmail users, then Google will be ultimately able to build up a strong financial data of its users. Google could effectively use this private data of its users to design certain other products personalized according to each of its user’s financial capacity. So care must be taken from the part of users that their money is never looted out by others. Users must be able track down their financial transactions from time to time while using these kinds of payment interfaces. Even though Gmail is known for its security features, when it comes to matters of financial data, users must take extra care that in no way their hard earned money is being wasted out for nothing.
