OVERVIEW

The razor sharp Nexus 7 comes in with a powerful full HD screen. The milky smooth in performance or the light weight of the tablet at a reasonable cost makes it undoubtedly the tablet of the hour that can be one of the best buys in tablet sector. Some of the drawbacks that it has got including the lack of griping ability in the back, the colour composition accuracy and finally the android 4.3 which is inbuilt in it, but lacks in the multitude of all the facilities of the android. But the unique beneficiaries that this Tablet holds, are the solid screen resolution, the gamers will be in cloud nine with this tablet as it is rated as just second best after the iPad fourth generation in terms of gamers. Being a tablet sponsored by Google itself, so any one can be rest assured that all the latest updates will be available in this tablet first in the market.
The second generation Nexus seven tablets are priced around $230. It can be said, as one of the affordable one with its go getter specs and features. Though it has risen by $30 than its predecessor, and being not a large screen like the iPad , neither having all the UI features which should be there it in android 4.3 it still can be said that as one of the best around its type and class in the market around.

DESIGN

Among all the tablets that are available in the market the Nexus 7 second generation is staged to be the lightest of them all at 0.64 pound weight. The 4.5 inch screen when held in uplifted in the portrait orientation layout, it can be said as one of the comfortable ones to fit within the hands. The design of the latest released Nexus 7 is quite easy to use and handle though it cannot be laid aside that it seriously lacks in the genre of panache.
The matte finish which is designed in the latest released device is not the best out in its class. It lacks in gripping the edge. The micro SD card slot at the bottom is enough to distract the design and layout of the model when kept in landscape.
Though the side bezels are compressed compared to its earlier version but it does not appear to be a problem in any way.

SOFTWARE

The latest released second version of Nexus 7 comes in with the latest version of android, 4.3. Though a higher up gradation than the 4.2 but the UI features are almost parallel to its earlier clan. Some of the classic new software features that this model possess includes the multi user profile restriction, it has inbuilt Bluetooth smart in it and comes in with GL ES3.0 support system. Though the user control was available in 4.2 versions but the latest version has an advanced kid profile privacy that is actually controlled by the primary profile settings.
While the GL ES3.0 will actually re-double the performance of graphics working. There will be an advanced look and effect on the lenses, frames and other effects for the shades purposes.

HARDWARE

The hardware of the Nexus 7 second generation comes with 1.5 GhZ QUALCOMM snapdragon. It has a CPU of quad core Krait and a GPU of 320 single Adreno. The tablet comes in with a storage of 2GB RAM and also has 802.11 a/b/g/n. Some of the additional features that the latest released second edition Nexus possess are the accelerometer, gyroscope and a digital compass.
The ports in the present device are quite slim as a result it supports the micro USB port through HDMI port, but there is physical present of HDMI port in the Nexus 7.
It supports for a wireless charger, though the actual charging speed is quite slow when compared with the wired support charger devices.

PERFORMANCE

The screen is quite sharp which acts as its USP and the text version can be very easy to read and very distinctive at the same time. Though the pixel density is quite high and one may find it quite difficult to adjust at the very go, but the screen of Nexus 7 is predominantly the brightest of all the tablets that are making noise at present.
Though the Nexus 7 seemed to work on colours, but it still has a long way to go, as it lacks in accuracy. The display looks rather greenish and there is mixture or composition of many colours the screen turns to be purplish. The responding capacity of the screen seems to electrifying with its every swipe.
There is an option of quick sleep mode that works quite smartly to save in battery consumption.

CAMERA

The caner ain the Nexus 7 do not bring in any good news to camera lovers as the front facing camera with 1.5 mega pixels or the rear camera with 5 mega pixels does make the pictures when clicked look sticky and a pale greenish. The shadowy effects also seemed to be quite gloomy and blurred in most of the occasion when clicked.

FINAL VERDICT

Though the Nexus may not be the choice of every user, as some users may have been inclined to the Apple’s iPad. But, for others who are looking for a tablet with the latest android software then Nexus 7 can be a smart buy for them.
