Revamped Razer Blade 2016 Version Launched With Extensive Features
Razer launched one of the most powerful gaming laptop under the brand name of Razer Blade. This Razer Blade has been modernized and launched recently by adding certain premium features. The new Razer Blade 2016 is lighter and thinner than the previous one. With all these features Razer Blade 2016 is an improved model.
Design
When talking about design, Razer Blade 2016, looks alike its predecessor. The device is well-packed inside a black case which measures 13.6*9.3*0.7 inches. When the device launched in 2016, the company did cut down its weight from 4.4 pounds to 4.25 pounds. The aluminium case adds durability to the new device.
Display
Razer Blade 2016 is having a display screen which is 14 inches wide edge to edge. This screen features IGZO QHD+ with a ratio of 16:9. The display is having a resolution of 3200*1800 pixels along with LED backlight. Another notable feature is that the display is featured by capacitive multi-touch facility.
Processor
Razer Blade 2016 is powered by Intel Core i7-6700HQ Quad Core Processor with a processing speed of 2.6GHz. Another variant is having a processing speed of 3.5GHz. This processor along with a powerful RAM of 16GB makes Razer Blade 2016 a powerful gaming laptop. In addition to this Razer Blade 2016 is equipped with NVIDIA GeForce GTX 970M GPU with 6GB VRAM enabling the laptop to handle highly graphics loaded games without any lags. The storage options available are 256GB and 512GB.Razer Blade 2016 is supported by Windows 10 OS with 64-bit.
Keyboard and Built-in Ports
Unlike the previous Razer Blade, the latest version is featured by per-key lighting enhanced by Chroma instead of fixed Green backlighting. Chroma lighting enables the users to set the keyboard key glow in any of the 16.8 million colors. Users are also enabled to set various color profiles with the help of Synapse App.Razer Blade 2016 is having a Thunderbolt 3 USB-C port along with 3 SuperSpeed USB port of v3.0. The device is also equipped with HDMI 1.4b which provide Video and Audio output. Razer Blade 2016 is having a 3.5mm combo headphone cum microphone port.
Battery
Razer Blade 2016 is powered by 70 Wh rechargeable Lithium-Ion Polymer Battery. The battery is recharged with the help of Compact 165W power adapter.
Other Features
Razer Blade 2016 is embedded security chip with Trusted Platform Module of v2.0. The device is also equipped with Kensington Security Slot. On communication end it has WiFi connectivity with Killer Wireless AC 1535 with a bandwidth of 802.11a/b/g/n/ac along with Bluetooth of v4.1. The device is also loaded with in-built webcam of lens 2.0MP along with Stereo Speakers for excellent audio experience.
Availability
The earlier model was priced at $2399 for the QHD+ model. But Razer Blade 2016 comes with a reasonable price of $1999 which is almost $400 less than its predecessor. Razer Blade 2016 is already available for pre-order but the shipping will start from April onwards only.
