Methods to Get Rid of Android Wear Notifications

The companies which manufactures and introduces smart watches has got a tagline that this device is going to make your life simple. They argues that they are designed in such a way to alert the user when someone called him or messaged him, that too without the need to look on the smartphone, but by just looking o the smartwatch. Android powered smartwatches thus can alter the lives of humans by making it easy and simple for them.

Android Wear Notification

But these things can go extreme sometimes. This happens when the smartwatch starts popping up certain notifications that are really unnecessary. These unnecessary notifications sometimes includes complaining from the latest racing game that you are not playing it often or your virtual pet app makes fun of you by displaying that it needs toilet in every five minutes. I am sure that most of you are really annoyed listening to these kind of irrelevant things.

Primary Step: Alter the Settings on your Handset

I know that most of you don’t care about the conditions put forward by various applications when you try to install them on your smartphone. At last you may end up with the continuous popping up of notifications from these applications which will ultimately ruin your patience. These can be blocked right from your smartphone. For that you have to select ‘Settings’ of your phone. There you may find the option named ‘Notifications’, which control various notifications in your smartphone.

In this Notifications option, you can block notifications from those applications which you find are really useless. For instance you can block notifications from the games complaining for not playing it often. But quite often you may not find this option on every version of Android. The availability of this option may vary with the version of Android and its UI that you are using. But usually you can find it under ‘Sound and Notifications’ section. There you can see all those apps that are installed in your handset. All you have to do is to select the app that irritates you and turn off its notifications from there.

Second Step: Categorizing your Smartwatch

When you finished blocking notifications in your smartphone, your next turn is to categorize certain notifications in your smartwatch. Inorder to manage this you have to access Android Wear App. Then you have to click on Cog Icon which you can find on the top of your screen. There in the ‘Settings Menu’, you may find the option to block the notifications made by the applications. All you have to do is to tap on ‘Plus Icon’. This will result in showing a list of programs that have been installed in the device. When you got the particular app to stop its notification, select it and then it appear in ‘Block App Notifications Screen’. This will block the notifications from the specific app. But if you want to undo what you have done, then you have to tap on the ‘Cross Button’.
