Finally WhatsApp Launched Desktop App for Windows and Mac
Almost all old messaging applications have their own desktop apps. It’s not a surprise that every user waited for WhatsApp to launch one. Now I think their wait is over when WhatsApp launched a desktop app that supports both Windows and Mac devices.
Replica of Smartphone WhatsApp

Desktop App for Windows and Mac
The new desktop application supports desktop notifications. This new app functions in the same way as the smartphone version of WhatsApp functions. In other words the new desktop application of WhatsApp is clearly a Xerox copy of existing mobile version.
Compatibility and Syncing
The latest desktop app supports every Windows device with Windows 8 and above OS and also with Mac with OS 10.9 and above. Another feature is that this desktop version can be easily merged with the smartphone version of WhatsApp. But for that you require functioning data pack in your handset. But when compared to other messaging apps like Telegram, this is quite a shortcoming that these apps can function properly without active data connection.
Exciting Features
When compared with the web app, the desktop app has certain merits. The new desktop app can transfer files and other documents which is absent in web app. This has helped WhatsApp to have better place in messaging apps. With a customer base of more 1 billion users across the world, WhatsApp is most preferred by many and remains to be on the top.
Downloading and Installing Desktop App
To download Desktop App, you have to get into WhatsApp Download Center. Both the Windows and Mac versions of desktop app are available here. After downloading, you have to install it. Now you have scan the QR code with the help of WhatsApp App available in your handset. This can be found under Settings>> WhatsApp Web. Both UI and UX are one and the same just like WhatsApp Web App. Now you can create your own profile by setting profile picture. After that you can enjoy all the functions available in mobile version in desktop app also like sharing images, altering status, recording audio messages and so on. The only feature that I found missing is the Phone Call feature.
