“Do Apps” are far beyond Imagination: IFTTT into action by rebranding itself
IFTTT or If This Then That is a website based service that allows the users to create their own provisional statements called “recipes.” The recipes are get activated themselves when alterations are performed on services like Facebook, Instagram, Gmail, Twitter etc. IFTTT rebrands itself as IF with the introduction of new range of “Do” apps for both Android and iOS platform smartphones. Do enables the users to create custom made camera, notepad and button. The new applications allow the users to activate certain pre-loaded actions just by a touch of a button. It ultimately allows the person to perform 3 recipes at the same time.
Do Button
The Do Button allows the IFTTT to pair with 3rd party devices for flawless real life mechanization. It thus permits the user to turn on or off the lights using Philips Hue Wi-Fi Lighting system or setting a particular temperature using Nest Learning Thermostat. It is only app among the three to come with a home screen widget. Thus it allows the user to activate or deactivate any action without launching the app. This becomes the major advantage and highlight of the app.
Do Note
Do Note permits the users to craft a customized notepad which can be connected to web services like Twitter, Google Calendar and Evernote. Thus it helps the user to organize their online social activities. It permits the user to transform the Note itself to routine journal for a year.
Do Camera
As the very name of the app suggests it customizes the camera of your smartphone. It personalizes the camera in such a way it allows the users to connect to Dropbox, Evernote, Facebook etc. The app helps the user to operate three varied actions with the image. Thus this app makes the experience of the user to a new different level entirely making it user friendly.
Each “Do App” have their own customized recipes and can accumulate 3 recipes only at a particular point of time. The users can swipe amongst the recipes. The apps are characterized by a common login and uses same activated channels for all apps. Linden Tibbets, co-founder and CEO of IFTTT mentions that there are over 20 million Recipes posted each day. So better late than ever he urges the users to download these apps to have a better experience. He also confirmed that their service will be sooner available on Apple Watches.
