Most of the smartwatches faces the problem of low battery life. This problem persists with those smartwatches which especially uses Google’s Android Wear Software. They normally withstand itself without charging for a maximum of 2 days. Asus introduced a smartwatch with fitness tracking named Zenwatch. This gadget also faced the issue of limited battery life. These gadgets withstand only for 2 days by single charging.
But now Asus has come out with another fitness tracking smartwatch named VivoWatch. Now the company promises that the battery of new gadget will lasts for 10 days without plugging it into any power source. But the tech experts say that the VivoWatch is not capable of doing every task as ZenWatch does. The firsthand information of VivoWatch was out from Bluetooth SIG Website, during the initial days of this year.
Asus has released some more information regarding the special features of the smartwatch. According to Chinese and Taiwanese websites, apart from working as a smartwatch, VivoWatch will work more as a fitness tracker just like the one which is offered from Garmin, Epson and other manufacturers. The Engadget website reports that the new smartwatch comes out in a stainless steel case with IP67 water and dust resistant features. Another notable feature as told in the title that it comes out with a battery which can withhold power upto 10 days.
The watch is said to have added features of application that monitors heart beat rate. It is also said to have an application that tracks sleep. Notebook Italia has certain images featuring VivoWatch along with certain other informations. It reports that the watch is said to have Pedometer Step along with functions to track distances. It also has applications supported by Asus which functions on your smartphone with the help of Bluetooth. This one also includes a brightness sensor.
Asus officially declared no details regarding the pricing of the gadget. But the Notebook Italia declared that the new device is expected to be priced at 149 euros in European countries. It is expected to cost nearly $149 in US including the VAT. If this is true it costs much less than the previous smartwatch of Asus that is ZenWatch which costs nearly $200. Anyway no official price declaration was made from Asus. More details regarding the price, design and sales strategy will be available in official from Asus at the latest by April 14th. This is because from April 14th Milan Design Week will be starting and Asus is expected to reveal the more accurate details regarding the new gadget in the week.
