The Japanese smartphone company, Sony has finally launched the much awaited successor to last year’s Xperia Z3. Named as Xperia Z4, the new flagship smartphone features a some modifications from the previous device. It has a 5.2 inch 1080p display with the latest 64-bit Snapdragon 810 processor from Qualcomm. The smartphone will run on Android 5.0 Lollipop out of the box.
The Xperia Z4 display is Full HD (1920 x 1080) .This might be a drawback as most flagship devices are offering Quad HD display now days. The memory of the device include 3GB of RAM coupled with 32GB of internal storage which can be further expanded up to 128GB using a microSD card. The new flagship is 6.9mm thin, weighs 144 grams, and features a metal frame. It is .4mm thinner than its predecessor and weighs 8 grams less. The metal frame is put through a treatment to increase the shine.
The Xperia Z4 features a 20.7 megapixel camera at the rear end and a wide angle 5.1 megapixel sensor upfront. Talking about the battery, the 2,930mAh powerhouse should keep your device functioning all day long.
The Xperia Z4 is water resistant as with the other Xperia Z series flagships. Sony is also offering an additional waterproof accessory called Cover Window that shows up information on the screen while still protecting the handset.The handset will be released in white, black, copper, and aqua green colors and initially in Japan later this summer. There is no confirmation on pricing and US and global availability. looking at the features, we can say the price may be on a higher side. The phone will certainly give some tough competition to HTC One M9 and Samsung Galaxy S6.
