HTC adds Butterfly 2 smartphone to their product list which excels best in terms of camera and sound. HTC introduces dual camera in this model which has a 13 MP sensor, depth sensor and dual flash. The camera setup is said to give detailed images which are rich and has depth. There is also a third front facing camera for selfies. The dual camera also let the user the user to change the focus after capturing the image and also to be creative with the image with the help of different camera apps, to use the hardware to the fullest. UFocus can be used to create portraits by altering the focus after the image has been clicked. Foregrounder can alter the background. Dimension Plus will show you the image from a different angle. All supported with a gallery organization which sorts the image according to you search query. The 5 MP front camera with HDR capabilities can record 1080p videos and has BSI sensor as well. Like all other HTC, it also has Zoe app, that let you create, edit and share media.
HTC is an OEM which always gives the best audio. This device is also no exception. The two front facing speakers with new built in amplifier and HTC Boombox technology creates an immersive, powerful, crystal-clear sound. They claim it to be 25% louder than HTC One and there is no compromise made on quality.
Another feature which is an extension to the new UI is motion launch using which the device can identify its position and gestures.
The embedded LI-polymer battery has 2700mAh capacity. There is an extreme power saving mode, like you see in other devices now a days, which will extend your battery life a bit longer.
This is a premium device from HTC and the specs don’t fall short either. The HTC Butterfly 2 is powered with QUALCOMM Snapdragon 801 Quad core CPU which clocks at 2.5 GHz. It is based on latest Android platform with HTC sense 6 UI on top. It is available in both 16 GB and 32 GB variants and has 2 GB of RAM, however we can expand its capacity to 128 GB via micro SD. The phone is a bit thicker at 9.99 mm and it weighs at 151 g. The display in this device is a 5 inch full HD 1080p capacitive touchscreen. It supports almost all networks including 4G LTE. There is GPS, GLONASS and Digital Compass for navigation along with other sensors like Accelerometer, proximity sensor, ambient light sensor, gyro and barometer. NFC, aptX enabled Bluetooth 4.0, Wi-Fi, DLNA, HTC connect, microUSB 2.0, and infrared connectivity options are included also. The phone is both water and dust proof with IP rating of X5/X7/5X.
The phone looks good on paper with all this features. HTC butterfly 2 will roll out in the Asian markets by September 2nd and will get launched in other markets later. There is no word about pricing for now.
