Apple has recently released their 6th beta version of Apple iOS 7, roughly 2 weeks after the release of beta 5. This release is said to have fixed major bugs and some added improvements. One of the major issues that this release addresses is that, when some purchases are made in iTunes, it may download or play unexpected items. So it is must to update to iOS 7 beta 6 if your device is running on previous beta versions.
According to beta users, the most explicit fix that has been made in this version is that, the long booting time is fixed and the multi-tasking is much more smoothened.
The update is available to all current beta testers as an Over-The-Air (OTA) update. You could also download it via Apple’s Development Centre . Unregistered Apple users need to pay a license fee of 99$ to access iOS 7 before its public release date. Some say that this release of iOS 7, which is only 13.5MB in size, was not something that Apple intent to release, but they were compelled to fix a major bug. There are also rumors saying that this could be the last beta version before the release of iOS 7.
Security breach that happened in Apple’s developer portal could be the reason why this update is released so early. Apple on Sunday said in an email to developers that “In order to prevent a security threat like this from happening again, we’re completely overhauling our developer systems, updating our server software, and rebuilding our entire database. We apologize for the significant inconvenience that our downtime has caused you and we expect to have the developer website up again soon.”
Apple will likely release iOS 7 on September.
