Lenovo comes up with some new variants of low priced Laptops. One of those new models which is about to hit the markets very soon, looks alike Windows notebook. But fortunately the price of the device is almost same as that of Chromebook. The new Laptop is a Windows supported PC with the name of Lenovo IdeaPad 100.
Lenovo launched IdeaPad in two different versions. One of the versions is having a weight of 44.2 pounds. This model is featured with a screen size of 14 inches. Whereas the other variant comes with a weight of 5.1 pound and is having a display size of 15 inches. The thickness also varies in two variants. The 14 inched Laptop is having a thickness of 0.8 inches while the 15 inched one is having a thickness of 0.9 inches. The screen resolution measures to be 1366*768 pixels. Other features are almost common to both the Laptops.
Both the variants work on an Intel Bay Trail processor. But the company plans to offer them with more advanced processor from the same Intel family. The new chipset that company plans to implement on IdeaPad 100 is Pentium N3540 processor. It will be backed with a RAM of 8GB. This RAM is supported by an in-built storage of 500GB in hard drive storage. It may be available also at 128GB in the form of solid state storage.
Each of the variant is packed with a USB 3.0 port, which ensures swifter transfer of data to the device and also from the device. In addition to this it is also having another USB port of 2.0. It is also having an HDMI port, Ethernet jacks and also having SD card reader facility in it. The device is also packed with headset jack and is also having a front cam measuring 0.3MP. Laptop also supports WiFi connectivity supporting a bandwidth of 802.11b/g/n and also compatible with Bluetooth version 4.0.
IdeaPad 100 is also packed with a mono 1.5 watt speaker which gives you better enhancement while watching certain videos and movies. Battery capacity comes to be 30Whr, which the promises to keep live the Laptop for nearly 4 hours. When performance is considered IdeaPad has no exciting features to satisfy its customers. But when the use is limited to house, the gadget seems to be ok. It would be accepted by many users in the market if it had a better battery.
The new model is priced at a rate of $249. It will be available in the market all across the world by the beginning of June. Lenovo also launches certain new models of gadgets. They are named as Z41 with a screen size of 14 inches and Z51 with a screen size of 15.6 inches. These models are supported by AMD graphics. They are priced at $499.
