The convertible laptops are a trend these days owing to the ease it provides when switching between a laptop and a tablet. Many Laptop brands are making convertible design for its users. Acer recently unveiled a similar product named as Acer Aspire R11.
Acer Aspire R11 has an 11.6 inch screen and the lid is flexible and can be rotated at 360 degrees. The screen supports touch functionality. The screen has a resolution of 1366 x 768 pixels which is quite good. The Zero Air Gap technology keeps reflections to a minimum and the viewing angles are fine As with Aspire Switch editions, the lid of R11 is textured and has a nice look and feel. It prevents any fingerprint on it.
The R11 will be offered with either an Intel Pentium or Intel Celeron processor with up to 8GB of RAM and a 500 or 1TB hard drive.
Its Ports comprise Ethernet, HDMI out, USB 3.0, USB 2.0, SD card reader, 3.5mm headphones jack, along with power and volume controls housed on the opposite side.
Acer officially reports that the notebook will last up to 8 hours on a charge. This is slightly better than the laptops of this category.
The notebook will be released in Sky Blue and Cloud White colors. Initially it will be launched in North American markets. Aspire R11 will be available from July 2015 and will feature latest Windows 10.
The price starts from $249.
This is a budget laptop and pretty useful for students who need a decent performance and great flexibility.
