Microsoft is continuously launching new applications compatible with Android platform. The most recent among such apps is the Microsoft Garage, which is purely a keyboard application. But in this segment Microsoft Hub seems to be a better option for the Android devices. This is not because of the reason that it helps you to type faster but rather helps you to gather information faster. Let us have a peek into its working mechanism.
How it Functions?
After downloading and installing it, you have to set it as your Default Keyboard. After that you will be able to see a qwerty keyboardon the display of the device. Along with the keyboard you can also see certain special icons that are placed above the keyboard. Clicking on Clipboard Icon, which you can find on the left, you can get into those items which you have copied recently especially from other applications. Other default keyboard applications may display only the final item that you have copied. But Hub shows more than one such items.
To the next of Clipboard Icon, you can find another icon which is especially meant for documents. This one will allow you to search for OneDrive or SharePoint documents that are connected with your account. This will also allow you Paste those documents without any difficulty.
Another icon that comes in handy is the Contacts Icon. This will allow you to search for informations like contacts that will get one’s address, connecting phone numbers and certain other infos. Another advantage is that you are not required to get out of the currently using application, to grab all these information. There is another icon on the right side with the title of Translation Icon. This will help you to convert text of one language to that of other.
Microsoft officials clearly stated that you may need either work or school or university Office 365 Account to have full working of this feature. They also stated that Home and Personal accounts may not support Hub keyboard app.
Hub Keyboard gathers information from other apps which will prevent switching between apps. You can get back to those items copied, search and share document links from OneDrive, SharePoint and so on. You are allowed to gather and insert someone’s information details and even allowed to translate texts. Hub can be downloaded at free of cost from Android Play. You can use this link for downloading Hub.
