Google Drive introduced by Google is actually a boon for the users. It is a cloud-based storage option provided by Google to its beloved users. How to get started?
This is quite easy. All you have to do is to access Google Drive Websitewith the help of a browser. Log-in to the website using your Google Mail or Google Docs ID and password. The main area displays your files. There are various Menus available to the left-hand side and to the top of the window which will allow you to perform more advanced functions.
Google Drive makes it easy to add files from your system to the internet. All you have to do is to hit the Upload Button, which you can find on My Drive Menu. A pop-up window will appear, from which you select the files which you would like to upload to Google Drive, by clicking on Open Button.
If you want to add a large amount of documents to Google Drive, you can make this possible by converting those files into Google Doc Format. Inorder to have better functioning capability it is advisable to sort the files into separate folders according to their properties. For instance you can group media files into separate folder and at the same time docs file to another folder. By doing so,you can make your work easier with Google Drive.
Star the Files
If you want to know which all files you use most, the best way you can do is to star them. This can be viewed at once by looking immediately at the starred files by selecting the respective option which you can find on the left hand Menu. Inorder to star a file, right click on the file and then click on Add Star from the pop-up window.
Google Drive comes in handy wherever you go, even at a place with mere internet connection. Even without an internet connection, users are allowed to open documents but you are not allowed to edit them. This can be done by clicking on Settings>> Set-up Docs Offline>> Allow Offline Docs. Now you are allowed to view Google Drive files with the help of Chrome browser.
